Charity of the Year 2008 - Air Ambulance
Following the success of The Bridge as our Charity of the Year in 2007, we have decided to continue with the process in the coming year with a brand new beneficiary. After discussing the opportunity for co-operation with them we are delighted to announce that Leicestershire and Derbyshire Air Ambulance have been voted our 2008 Charity of the Year.
This life saving venture will provide support and rescue to hundreds of people each year following its launch in April 2008. The Loughborough, in partnership with Loughborough Echo, will be the designated location for public donations towards the running costs of this much needed service that will be based at East Midland’s airport. Alongside our initial donation of £2,500 for being our Charity of the Year we will be sending your much needed donations to the Air Ambulance on a quarterly basis and will also be running a number of staff fund raising activities throughout the year to raise further funds.
