The ‘Little Curve’

Loughborough Building Society is always looking for ways to support and develop the local community.

The state of the art theatre in Leicester, Curve, runs a fabulous ‘Little Curve’ programme of theatre performances and workshops for children aged 3-7 years and their families, and The Loughborough Building Society is now proudly sponsoring Curve theatre’s Little Curve programme.

These shows introduce children to theatre and encourage them and their families to participate in creative learning from an early age. Little Curve offers a mix of well-loved and new and exciting shows as well as a ‘Little Movers’ programme. Little Movers is a series of music and movement workshops for little ones aged 18 months – 3 years old and their parents. These workshops explore movement and play in a safe and colourful environment in Curve’s rehearsal spaces.

The Little Curve shows and workshops usually take place on Saturday mornings and early afternoons in their specially designed rehearsal spaces. Each performance is able to engage children throughout whether they involve puppetry, song, music, dance, dressing up or arts and crafts. The hour-long performances never fail to see children leaving Curve singing the songs and re-telling the story in their own way. Due to this, Little Curve, with the support from The Loughborough, is able to help accelerate children’s learning and personal development and support family learning and relationships through shared experiences.

For 2012 Spring season, Little Curve shows include Whose Shoes, Goldilocks, Billy Goats Gruff, Hansel & Gretel and Little Red You Know Who.
