Ashley Pearson – Head of Intermediaries
I have worked within financial services particularly in the building society sector for over 20 years. My career began in retail savings, from mortgage advisor to branch manager, leading various teams along the way. For the past seven years, I’ve been part of Loughborough Building Society, where I’ve witnessed and contributed to its growth and evolution into a solution-based lender.
I’m passionate about our purpose: supporting the intermediary market and ultimately helping clients achieve home ownership, especially those who don’t fit the traditional high street profile. I believe strongly in the value we bring to brokers and customers alike.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling to new and interesting destinations, following Derby County, and spending time on the golf course – both playing and proudly watching my eldest child compete.
Luke Berrington – Senior Telephone Business Development Manager
I have been working in financial services since 2007 , covering various roles for several high street banks and most recently Loughborough Building Society for the past 7 years. I lead the Telephony team and take great pride in our ability to provide solutions for our intermediaries supporting them from initial conversation through to completion.
In my spare time I am an avid record collector. When I’m not digging through vinyl, I’m supporting my second eldest in his U11’s football career. Attempting to successfully be a linesman whilst also cheering him on.
Jasmeet Benning – Telephone Business Development Manager
With over four years of experience in the financial services industry, I bring a well-rounded background shaped by a variety of roles. My career has included positions such as Credit Card Collections Agent, Complaints Handler, and a member of the Mortgage Sales Support team at The Loughborough, each contributing to a strong foundation in customer service, problem-solving, and financial operations.
For the past year, I have been part of the Intermediary team, where I am committed to delivering exceptional service, building lasting relationships and ensuring brokers achieve the best possible outcomes for their clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, hiking scenic trails, spending quality time with family, and travelling to new destinations.
Stewart Burbage – Telephone Business Development Manager
With over two decades of entrepreneurial experience, I successfully founded and managed my own business for 21 years before transitioning into the financial services sector. Following a career change, I re-trained as a mortgage broker, gaining two years of industry experience prior to joining The Loughborough Building Society. Alongside my professional journey, I have maintained a longstanding involvement in property, including renovation projects, spanning more than 20 years. This hands-on experience has fostered a deep passion for the property sector and equipped me with extensive practical knowledge.
Beyond my professional interests, I am an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular passion for boxing, football, and Formula 1. I also enjoy travelling, exploring new destinations, and experiencing the diverse cuisines each culture has to offer.
