Partnerships and sponsorships

We’re proud to put community at the heart of everything we do – supporting local causes, charities, and events that make a real difference across the East Midlands.

Details of some our community partnerships and sponsorships.

Loughborough Town Hall Pantomime

For over 20 years, The Loughborough Building Society has proudly sponsored the annual pantomime at Loughborough Town Hall, a festive tradition that brings joy to families across the region.

The Society’s support has helped make pantomime more inclusive and accessible, ensuring the magic of theatre reaches a wider audience year after year.

Loughborough Santa Fun Run

Every December, Loughborough Building Society proudly sponsors one of the town’s most festive community events — the Santa Fun Run, hosted by Rainbows Hospice

This year’s event was bigger and better than ever, bringing together a record-breaking 962 Santa’s, making this the largest Rainbows Santa Run ever! Participants hopped, skipped, danced, and dashed their way around a 5km or 2.5km loop through Loughborough town centre, all in support of Rainbows and other local causes.

As long-term sponsors, the Society once again supplied the finisher medals and managed Santa costume distribution from our Loughborough branch. We were proud to donate £4,500 as official sponsors of the event, supporting Rainbows’ incredible work for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

Thanks to the amazing efforts of all participants, over £10,000 was raised by those running. In total, the event raised just over £29,000 for Rainbows!

Shepshed Carnival

Held every August Bank Holiday, the Shepshed Lions Annual Charity Carnival is a highlight of the local calendar, and The Loughborough Building Society is a regular sponsor. The event features charity stalls, games, food vendors, and entertainment for all ages. The Loughborough proudly sponsors two of the event’s most popular attractions—the barbecue stall and the bouncy castle.

The Society’s sponsorship helps cover event costs, allowing more of the proceeds to benefit local causes and ensuring the carnival remains a fun, inclusive celebration for the Shepshed community.

Loughborough Heritage Forum

For the past five years, The Loughborough Building Society has sponsored the Loughborough Heritage Forum, a collaborative network of local museums, heritage groups, and volunteers. The Forum’s exhibitions, guided walks, and events have encouraged residents to explore the town’s history and support local businesses. The Society’s sponsorship strengthens community ties and helps preserve Loughborough’s rich cultural legacy for future generations.

Loughborough Dynamo U11s Kit Sponsorship

In the 2025/26 season, The Loughborough Building Society sponsored the away kit for Loughborough Dynamo Under 11s, proudly displaying its logo on the team shirts. This grassroots partnership supports youth development, promotes active lifestyles, and fosters community pride. The sponsorship reflects the Society’s ongoing commitment to nurturing local talent and encouraging participation in sport.

Anstey Nomads Advertising Board

The Society has also partnered with Anstey Nomads FC, securing an advertising board at their Cropston Road ground for the 2025/26 season. This visibility extends beyond match days, as the venue hosts various community events throughout the year. The sponsorship helps the club with operational costs while reinforcing The Loughborough’s presence and support within the Anstey community.
